John comfortable and confident for race despite 15th spot from Qualifying in Austin
Today John McPhee will have his work cut out to fight from 15th place on the Austin grid, but can be certain and confident that he has pace and handling as demonstrated in the free practice sessions at COTA.
Unfortunately John wasn’t able to repeat the good results from his practice sessions when it came to Qualifying on Saturday and will have to start the race from fifteenth place. But with a good race start he can still fight for a finish in the points.

“For tomorrow we have some work to do. Position 18 is not what I was hoping for. All weekend I felt very comfortable. In qualifying I tried to follow some fast riders but that didn’t work out. So I had to ride alone. I wanted too much and crashed. But for tomorrow I feel comfortable.”
