On Friday, the circuit of Termas de Rio Hondo saw the first two sessions of the free practice of the Moto3 class. Both SAXOPRINT RTG riders made a very promising start and delivered good results on what is a new track for all riders.

John McPhee could was able to continue his good performance from the previous race and finished in twelfth place, having run strongly throughout both sessions.

In the afternoon session, both John and teammate Efren Vazquez were able to position themselves at the top of the field und nothing changed until seventeen minutes before the end of the session.

John was unlucky and slid off track on his fastest lap, twelve minutes before the end. Nonetheless his overall performance during the day was solid, and he aims to continue progress towards Qualifying.

John McPhee:
Today was a good day. I learnt the new circuit and I like it a lot. In the first session we made some good progress. During the second session we made a good step forward again. I can go with the faster riders and could do some really good laps. At the end I had a small crash and lost the rhythm a little bit. But I still feel OK and I think I can push more again tomorrow.
