John takes positives away from Argentina despite DNF

It was a disappointing end to the Argentinian GP weekend for RTG rider John McPhee at Rio Hondo – putting in a spirited and competitive performance which sadly did not come to fruition.

John also got away from the line very quickly and was able to jump up to fifth place. He briefly even found himself in fourth place behind Miller, Fenati and Vazquez. But wanting too much he pushed too hard and crashed. Unfortunately he couldn’t re-join the race.

Nevertheless, a great performance by John this weekend – and one from which he will want to take all the positives ready for next weekend’s challenge at Jerez.

“Obviously not the finish I was looking for, a disappointing end of the weekend. We made a good start and the first lap was very good. The bike was feeling good. But after some laps other riders started to pass. I was trying a little too hard to catch the riders in front of me. I made a mistake and lost the front. This was my mistake.”
