French GP, race report: John McPhee takes 8th in strong showing at Le Mans

It was a strong showing for John McPhee in today’s thriller of a Moto3 French GP at Le Mans. With a constant swapping of places between the top eight riders in the front group it made for one of the most compelling Moto3 races yet.

John was riding in the front group right from the start, moving back and forth – sometimes as high as 4th place.

Eventually – after a full race on the pace and battling up at the front end, John finished the race in eighth, with teammate Efren Vazquez 6th.

“I am very happy with the 8th position in this race. At the end, I even had the same speed as the riders at the top. I am happy with this and I am looking forward to Mugello.”
