While Jack Miller dominated the first free practice session in the morning, John McPhee couldn’t achieve a top ten finish and with a sixteenth place looked for improvement in the second session.

In the afternoon the young Scot was able to improve by 7 positions to finish in ninth place – and aims to continue with his progress in tomorrow’s FP3 ahead of Qualifying.

“I am quite happy with the second session. I got a better feeling for the bike and also my rhythm is coming better. I think we have more to learn tonight from the data and I am sure we can go faster tomorrow.”
