John McPhee lines up on sixth row at Mugello

After improving in yesterday’s free practice sessions, and ending the day 11th on the timesheets, this morning’s FP3 was a disappointment in terms of positions with John only able to manage 25th.

Qualifying too was not as good as John had hoped and the Scot will start tomorrow’s race from 19th position – on the sixth row of the grid – but he remains positive that he can build on the improvements in feel that he has been able to find.

John McPhee: P19 (+1.480):
“We managed to improve again a little bit the feeling for FP3. The front was comming better. We just have some small things to improve, a little bit from me and little bit from the bike. Now to do the laptime I had to ride on the limit. Things are comming better and better over the weekend. So I am thinking positive.”
